From February 23 to March 4, 2027, Twing Raid 2027 will take its crews in Renault Twingos from near San Sebastián, Spain, down to the Moroccan dunes of Erg Chebbi. The race will be tracked live with RaidLine: a public map, shared through a simple link, will let family and curious onlookers follow every Twingo in real time. Dates, route, registration: here is what to know, and how to follow the raid from home.
Twing Raid 2027 at a glance: dates and key facts
The Twing Raid, which you will also find written "Twingo Raid" after the car that stars in it, is a charitable adventure raid reserved for the Twingo 1, the small city car produced between 1992 and 2007. The idea is the same as on other youngtimer raids: no over-equipped 4x4s, but simple cars, prepared by their own crews, on tracks that give them no favors.
- Dates: February 23 to March 4, 2027, for the 4th edition.
- Route: about 3,750 km, from San Sebastián (Spain) to the Erg Chebbi dunes, then Marrakech and Tangier.
- Car: Renault Twingo 1 (1992 to 2007), in crews of two, open to ages 17 to 77.
- Organizer: Access Organisation Group, also behind the Blue Rally events.
- Registration: the 2027 edition is sold out; the 2028 editions are open at twing-raid.com.
- Live tracking: public RaidLine map, with the link published on the event page before the start.
The entry, from 2,990 to 3,290 euros for a crew of two depending on the accommodation option in Spain, notably includes the return ferry crossing, accommodation in Morocco, meals, technical checks, assistance, medical insurance and the GPS tracking device. The 2027 edition is full: to take the start one day, aim for 2028.
What is the route of Twing Raid 2027?
The raid sets off on a Tuesday morning from near San Sebastián, in the Spanish Basque Country, before heading south and boarding a ferry to Morocco. Then come about ten days of scenic roads and tracks: southern Morocco down to the Erg Chebbi dunes, at the gates of the Sahara, then back up to Marrakech and finally Tangier for the return crossing. About 3,750 km in total, Atlas passes included.
As on most rally raids, the detailed stage-by-stage route remains the organizer's property: it is shared with registered crews and will not be published here. For spectators, the tracking map is precisely what will tell the story of the real route, day after day: the Twingos' trace will draw the course as the race unfolds.
Where to follow Twing Raid 2027 live
The tracking link will be published before the start on the dedicated page: raidline.net/en/events/twing-raid-2027. That is the page to keep at hand: it gathers the event information and will host the live map for the whole race.
Spectators need nothing to follow along: no app to install, no account to create. The link opens the map in the browser, on a phone or a computer. It shows every crew’s position, updated continuously, with search by name or number to find the Twingo you care about. A family that wants to know where their crew is in the middle of the dunes only has to tap a link, the one sent to them on WhatsApp the day before the start.
For crews, that same tracking is also a visibility tool: a public link can be shared with relatives, partners and a fundraising page. We covered what a public map changes for family and sponsors in our article on sharing the race live.
The RaidLine setup for the event
The RaidLine app, in the event’s colors, will cover the race from start to finish:
- Live tracking: every crew located on the public map, shared through a simple link.
- Offline 3D GPS navigation: pre-downloaded maps, compass and voice checkpoint announcements, to stay on course even with no coverage among the dunes.
- Targeted announcements: notifications sent to one crew, a group or the whole race.
- Real-time leaderboard: bonuses and penalties entered by the organizers, results updated instantly.
- Race control on iPad: SOS, speeding and low-battery alerts in real time for race direction.
Each module is described in detail on the features page. To understand how an organizer sets up this kind of system, our guide to rally raid live tracking is the right place to start.
After the Blue Rallies, a third date
Twing Raid 2027 will be the third event from Access Organisation Group tracked with RaidLine, after Blue Rally Europe 2026 in July, whose full field report is in our event debrief, and Blue Rally Bardenas 2026, which sets off at the end of October from the Pyrenees to the Bardenas Reales desert.
Morocco pushes things one notch further than the Bardenas: longer stages, areas where mobile coverage disappears for hours, and sand that puts the Twingos’ mechanics to the test. That is exactly the kind of conditions tracking continuity without coverage and offline navigation were built for, and as on the Blue Rallies, we will be supporting the organizers throughout the event.
